Thank you. This was a very educative article and something that I neeeded to read post what I went through for the last 15 days. I had this desire to buy the new Macbook 16 inch but have now retracted simply because I already have a functional laptop with a powerful processor. I came to the conclusion that it was a desire and not a need. I'm happy with my laptop right now and purchasing a new one jus because it is the lastest and the most trendy does not make any sense.
It think one way to see it is in handphones, how many here actually will change phones yearly or every other year "because their contract is up"
We subconsciously get used to and follow such cycles until we see the light. We take the upfront cost to buy a good phone, then we go sim only.
It is amazing how much better we will look after our phones when we are not counting down the end of our contracts and waiting to buy a new phone.
